“Mountains in cherry blossom” – I’ve never seen Japan’s cherry blossoms dusting the mountains, but I imagine them like the Swiss Alps – grand and snow-kissed – suddenly awash in soft pink. The air would smell sweet, the petals drifting like confetti on the breeze. It’s a fleeting, dreamlike beauty, one I’d love to witness in person. Until then, I’ll hold onto the image in my mind.
I work in my art journal with lots of different technics to discover. Sometimes I prepare pages weeks before actually use them, that makes the working process more random.
